Yes, you read that correctly. In 1992, members of our studio were helping businesses develop laptop presentations for sales and investor meetings. Since then, we've continued to work with some of the largest brands in the world, as well as friends starting new businesses. We bring our full creative expertise to each project. Great branding is accurate branding. To accurately brand a company or a product, it is imperative to know the demographic - to know your audience. If your company has or wants a younger audience, branding should be designed specifically to appeal to that younger target. That might call for more saturated colors; a thicker, bolder, rounder typeface; or more biomorphic shapes. An older audience might call for more earth-toned colors; traditional serif typeface; or a more linear layout. These are just examples, but when designing a great brand, every color, line, shape, and typeface should be selected for the specific purpose of appealing to your target audience - even if that group is extremely broad or highly targeted. it is important to delineate between interface design and information design. Information design comes first and includes breaking down the data, sectioning the data, and creating an intuitive path of navigation for the user. This is more of a science than an art, and a vital element for any interactive project. The interface design is more art than science, and is basically branding of the created during the information design process. This is also know as the design langauge. An interface design should be consistent onto itself - buttons, titles, navigation elements - but they should also have a graphical similarity, or design consistency, with the brand and the overall design of the project. A great interactive project has a synergy of the overall brand design, logo design, interface design, and even the tone and messaging contained in the copy. Digital illustration comes in two types, one is based on pixels, the other is based on mathematical geometry and vectors. Manipulating a digital photo or creating the final graphics for a website is based on pixels. However, pixel-based images can not be enlarged, which is key. Vector-based images can be scaled up or down as the mathematics do not degrade when sized. So, when designing creative that will be repurposed, these elements should be created with vectors. These include: logo design, icons used for interface design, and of course print design. Printed materials require an expertise in creating and managing high resolution files, typically vector based, which are scalable to infinite sizes. We are very familiar with the terms dpi, lpi, full bleed, crop marks, and dot gain. We can help you create and produce your printed items using high resolution vector based designs and illustrations. The members of our studio have been involved in more photo shoots than we can count, and we are very familar with depth of field, f-stops, and colored gels. However, like the rest of the world, we mostly shoot digitally, and we are experts in photo manipulation. From color correction to brightness levels, from removing red-eye to feathered masking and compositing. And the moving picture is no different. Our studio has multiple professional-grade video cameras with dual external XLR microphones and the Final Cut Pro audio and video editing suite. We are also experienced adding layered, animated graphics and sound effects on to your videos.
