Thomas Santoriello

Tom is our Creative Director, and as a student of online technology, he plots the strategic vision for our studio and our clients. Tom’s responsible for marrying creative visual concepts and innovative interactivity into an overall branding experience.

Tom also leads our front-end development, photography, illustration, animation, video production needs, and the branding integration of our clients.

Tom founded Santoriello Studios in 2001, leveraging his creative skills to innovative start-ups, successful businesses, and some of the largest agencies in the world. Tom’s combination of creative and technical abilities helped him both design and develop a project from start to finish, attracting clients to our studio early on. Tom quickly became known for creating distinct logo designs and integrating that branding into beautiful, easy to use interface designs. Tom has experience designing branded interface designs for complex desktop software, online gaming systems, in-depth video training DVDs, and of course websites and web applications.

Prior to forming Santoriello Studios, Tom was the Senior Vice President of Creative and part of the senior leadership team at NeoPlanet. The Phoenix based company of 200+ employees created downloadable software for consumers and businesses. Tom and his team worked with the branding of some of the largest companies in the world, including: Disney, New Line Cinema, MTV, HP, Intel, Sony, CBS, and The Discovery Channel. Before that, Tom was the Senior Vice President of Creative at Bigfoot International in New York City, offering consumers and businesses email management products. Some of Bigfoot’s clients included The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Newsweek, AT&T Wireless, and Time Magazine.

Tom began his career while in college, before the Internet, designing and building interactive presentations for The Turnaround Team in Westfield, NJ. These presentations were custom desktop software, and were designed to run on a laptop for a sales meeting, or be projected at a board meeting. Some of Turnaround’s clients included Staples, BASF, Corporate Express, AT&T, United States Postal Service, and Simon & Shuster (Viacom).

Tom studied at the world-renowned School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York City. SVA was one of the first colleges in the country to offer a degree in Computer Art, and Tom was one of the first to enroll.

Tom enjoys drumming in a band, Yankee baseball, science fiction, The History Channel, and taking care of his yard. His heroes include Steve Jobs and Walt Disney.
