We were negotiating with a new client on two projects, we think they gave us this first, smaller project as a test of our abilities. Needless to say, we got the other, larger project as well.

Believe it or not, our studio was not very versed in the details of the trucking and container industry. We are now. We knew the site was a few pages, a simple micro-site, but we also knew we had to appeal to those in the industry and speak their language. We did our research, and learned about the nuances of container usage. We also planed a photo shoot so we could highlight our client’s trucks, as well as the branding on their trucks.

Once the photo shoot was completed, we compiled both our knowledge of the industry and the photos we shot, and then sat down to design the micro-site. We decided to focus on what interested parties wanted to see when visiting the site, the crafted details of a clean, new truck. It took a while to make the concept fit, creating the details of the graphical interface, but we were very happy with the result, and so was our client. After creating the design of the interface and implementing the code for the micro-site, we started to create a photo gallery highlighting our client’s trucks.

Unfortunately, we were forced to have our photo shoot in an area with a rather unattractive backdrop. This was a blessing in disguise. We decided to erase out the unattractive backgrounds and created our own. These were high resolution files, and it took some time, but we think the results were worth the effort.
